2024 Colleague Recognition Awards
Colleagues
are at the heart of everything we do, so making sure we continue to recognise
and celebrate your achievements is core to the colleague experience here at
Edinburgh Napier University. Whilst we review our overall approach to recognition for 2025, we have made some changes to our normal annual Above & Beyond awards and event, responding to your feedback.
Our peer-to-peer nomination categories are largely the same this year and include recognition across our core values as well as contributions to learning and teaching, research and innovation, and leadership excellence. Our judging panel will have the tough job of shortlisting the nominees who will be in the running to win one of ten Awards. Unlike previous years, the final decision will be up to you as all colleagues will be invited to vote for their winners!
We are also excited to launch a new Pride of Napier award, a School/Service Award which celebrates a significant, collaborative piece of work. Unlike the other award categories, submissions in this category will be SLT-led. For this category, one professional Services and one School winner will be determined by representatives from our University Court. The criteria for the Pride of Napier Award can be found here. We look forward to showcasing all the fantastic achievements of colleagues across the University.
Save the date – Friday 7 June: All colleagues are invited to a themed event to recognise and celebrate the contributions we all make every day to the success of the University. A key part of this event will be a ceremony to announce the winners from each of the categories including the School and Service Winner for the Pride of Napier Award. We'll share more information soon!
