​Academic Workload Framework 2016 (AWF 2016)

 

AWF 2016​​ was developed in partnership with the recognised academic Trade Union, EIS. It is intended to provide a fair and flexible basis for the allocation of academic work including teaching, research, commercial and support activities. ​


AWF sets out allowances for core activities which are standard across the University.  In addition, Schools can agree local allowances for activities which are specific to them.  ​


The AWF Steering Group​ has oversight of the framework and is a forum for ensuring consistency in application of the framework and sharing good practice across Schools. Deans of School are accountable for the local operation of the framework.​

 

Workload Allocation Modelling (WAM) System
