2024 Colleague Recognition Awards Nomination Process 


If you want to know what goes on behind the scenes once you’ve submitted your nomination, then you’ve come to the right place!  


Before completing your nomination please note: 

  • This is a peer-to-peer nomination scheme - you can nominate other ENU colleagues, either as an individual or as a team. 
  • You can nominate an individual or team in more than one category. 
  • There are 10 categories to choose from – make sure you read​ the criteria for each one carefully, before you make a nomination. 
  • Check out our Tips and Guidance, these will help you put a strong nomination forward. 
  • Student nominations are made through the Edinburgh Napier Student Association (ENSA), we cannot accept any student nominations outside of this remit. ​

After the nomination window has closed: 

  • You will receive notification that the nomination has been accepted. The nominee and their line manager will also be notified at this point. 
  • A judging panel, made up of representatives from across the University will be convened to confirm the shortlisted nominees
  • Names of nominees will be shared on the intranet page after the panel review. 
  • The shortlist will be shared and voting will open to colleagues to choose their winner in each category. 
  • The winners will be announced on 7th June at our all colleague event, we look forward to seeing as many of you there as possible. 

The nomination window for the 2023-24 awards will be open from Tuesday 5 March 2024 to Thursday 28 March 2024. Once the shortlisting panel has taken place in April, more information will be communicated and posted here about the shortlist and colleague vote.
